# Build with AI

## Before you start

You need a Presage account and an organization. The assistant builds programs inside an organization, so [create your account and organization](https://presagetech.com/docs/essessment/create-account) first.

## What you can do

- Browse your programs and activities.
- Create and update programs and activities, if your role allows it.

<div class="note">

Programs created this way are private, like any new program. Invite the people who should take part. If everyone in your organization should see it, ask the assistant to "make the program visible to everyone in my organization", or turn on **Program Visibility** yourself.

</div>

<div class="note">

You can't start measurements from an AI assistant yet.

</div>

## Which AI tools work

Coherence is an MCP server, so it works with any AI assistant that supports MCP connectors. In Claude, it's listed in the Claude directory as a ready-made connector.

For other AI tools, add `https://coherence.presagetech.com/mcp` as a remote MCP server, then sign in with your Presage account when asked.

## Connect in Claude

<ol class="guide">
<li>

#### Add the connector

Open [Coherence by Presage Tech](https://claude.ai/directory/coherence-by-presage-tech) in the Claude directory and connect it.

</li>
<li>

#### Sign in

Approve access with your Presage account.

</li>
<li>

#### Name your organization

Say which organization to build in, for example "in Demo Organization". This matters most if you belong to more than one.

</li>
</ol>

## Example prompts

## Build from a file

Attach your protocol, survey or question list (PDF, Word or a spreadsheet) and ask the assistant to build from it. Review the result in the [Activity Builder](https://presagetech.com/docs/essessment/activity-builder) before you invite anyone.

<div class="ai-demo" role="img" aria-label="A Claude chat: a study protocol PDF is attached, the assistant calls the Coherence connector and lists the program it built"> <div class="win"><div class="bar"><i></i><i></i><i></i></div><div class="cl"> <div class="file"><i>PDF</i><span><b>Sleep-study-protocol.pdf</b><small>12 pages</small></span></div> <div class="me">In Demo Organization, build a program from the attached protocol. - "Turn the attached questionnaire into a Question step in the Evening check-in activity."
